The SeaLife SportDiver
The SeaLife SportDiver iPhone housing was created to give divers, snorkelers, and swimmers the opportunity to take photos and videos with their own phone underwater. The convenience is in taking your own phone underwater. The SportDiver is specifically designed for divers who dive up to 40 meters and have an iPhone with iOS 12 or higher. So, if you have an iPhone 7 or higher, you can use this underwater housing!
Why choose the SeaLife SportDiver?
Why should I choose this one? SeaLife has done everything to make this housing as user-friendly as possible. The housing is easy to operate, the large buttons make it easy to operate even with gloves. In addition, the screen remains visible and readable at all times.
You also get a colour correction filter (red filter). This filter ensures that colours are restored: because the deeper you dive, the more the colour red disappears. The filter ensures that you always get photos and videos that look like how you experienced it underwater. It is therefore recommended to use this red filter from a depth of +/- 5 to 6 meters, because at this depth the decrease in red colours begins. If you use this earlier, the image may be too red. So be careful during your dive.
There is a space inside for a moisture muncher, also known as a moisture absorber, in the housing, which is also included. The chance of moisture entering is negligible, but if there is any, for example, due to condensation, this stick will absorb it. Don't worry, the housing is also sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock sealing latch that securely closes the waterproof door. So safety first!

For extra safety and protection, the underwater housing has a unique feature that checks the housing before taking it underwater. SeaLife does this through a special built-in "leak detector". This is automatically activated when you place the phone in the housing (with the app open) and optimize the air pressure for underwater pressure with the vacuum pump. This takes about 3 to 4 minutes for a complete check.
Tip: To remove your phone after your dive, you first need to release the vacuum pressure! You can do this with the button at the top right of the housing. Loosen this button and pull up the tab that is hidden underneath it. When you pull up the tab, the pressure is released, and you can open the housing again."
How does the SeaLife SportDiver connect with your phone?
To use the SeaLife SportDiver, you need to download the SportDiver app. This app is free and works on built-in Wi-Fi. Open the app, and the rest is self-explanatory. Keep in mind that you need to synchronize the housing with your phone. The great thing about this app and housing is that you can easily switch from photo to video mode.
Tip: Before your dive, put your phone in airplane mode so that you don't receive messages that appear on the screen. You cannot access your phone, and the touch screen does not work through the housing.
