Mares Smart Air
The Mares Smart Air is the latest version of the Mares Smart, which was launched 4 years ago. Unique to the Mares Smart Air is that the software can be upgraded if necessary and the dive time can be read to the second. Other functions of the Mares Smart Air:
- Diving planner
- Logbook for 95 hours of diving
- Watch function
- Stopwatch function
- Alarm function
- 4 modes: compressed air, nitro, free dive and bottom timer
- Replaceable battery
- Multigas usage
Unlike the Mares Smart, which is available in a variety of colours, the Smart Air is only available in black.
To be used with a transmitter
The Mares Smart Air can be connected to a transmitter, which signals the air pressure in the cylinder to your computer. Do you already have a Mares Quad Air or Mares Icon HD? Then you can use the same transmitter for the Mares Smart Air. The Smart Air can be expanded to 3 transmitters. To connect the dive computer to a PC, you need the Bluelink Pro from Mares. This is the interface to read out the dive computer, which works with Bluetooth. You clip that Bluelink Pro over the dive computer. This is where the Bluetooth transmitter and receiver is located. The Bluelink Pro is not included as standard in the Mares Smart Air, but is optional.
The Mares Smart Air has a beautiful screen and is clearly legible. This screen ensures that the information is shown clearly. The display is made of tempered mineral glass which has a high scratch resistance and ensures good readability. The transmitter flashes in three different colours. Each colour has its own meaning:
- Blue and green: warning that the cylinder pressure is above the half of the cylinder
- Orange and yellow: warning that the cylinder pressure is between the reserve level and the half of the cylinder
- Red: warning that the cylinder pressure is below the reserve level
