Now available at Lucas Divestore: the Mares Sirius. This dive computer is a watch model, making it perfect for everyday use, but it has the internal workings and calculation model of a Mares Genius for optimal dive performance. But that's not all this dive computer has to offer. Read on for more!
Dive watch for all levels
The Mares Sirius is suitable for all divers: from beginners to technical divers. Because you can read the dive computer in a simple, intuitive way, recreational divers can easily handle the watch. In addition, the Mares Sirius allows you to input up to five gas mixtures such as nitrox and trimix, making it also suitable for seasoned technical divers.
The Mares Sirius has a tilt-compensated digital compass with bearing memory and stopwatch function, making it easy to navigate through the water. During dives, technical divers can reset the bottom timer function to determine the actual bottom time. Furthermore, the watch is equipped with a decompression dive planner with an additional surface interval function and hoseless tank data integration for up to five transmitters. This makes the Mares Sirius basically a Genius with watch function.
Display of the Mares Sirius
The watch has an MIP display (Memory In Pixel). This ensures that, when you are outside and the sun shines on the watch, the display becomes brighter without having to turn on the light. The brighter it is outside, the brighter the display. In addition, you can choose between three dials and colour options. This allows you to always read the watch well. When you go into the water and dive to at least one and a half meters deep, the display automatically switches to a full-colour mode for good readability.
Thanks to the optional tank module with LED lamp, which you connect to the watch, you can easily read the tank pressure. The LED lamp uses colour to indicate how full the cylinder is during the dive. Green means a full tank, orange indicates that the tank is still half full, and red means that the cylinder is almost empty. This is especially useful for your buddy, hence the possibility to connect it wirelessly to the Mares Sirius dive computer, so you can read it yourself too.
The Mares Sirius has a battery that allows you to use the watch in dive mode for up to 30 hours or up to 20 hours when you connect the tank module. If you only use the dive computer as a regular watch, the battery will last about a week. You can easily charge the watch in about three hours using a wireless charging base.
This dive watch also has a Bluetooth function that allows you to connect it to the Mares app on your smartphone. In the app, you can download all your dives and keep your digital logbook. The logbook in the dive computer itself is large enough to store 100 dives with a corresponding dive graph. In addition to digitally keeping track of your dives, with the Mares app, you can also update the firmware of the Sirius when there is an update.
Appearance of the Mares Sirius
In the design of the Mares Sirius, technology and elegance come together perfectly. It is truly a cool watch that definitely does not look out of place as an accessory in everyday life and at the same time contains all the information you need during your dive. Thanks to the interchangeable extension strap, you can wear it as an experienced diver on any type of suit: from wetsuit to drysuit. The Sirius is available in two colour combinations: a black strap with a black housing and a black strap with a silver-grey housing. The watch strap can be replaced with four other colours, which can be purchased separately.
