The Apeks Thermiq 8/7 semidry suit

The Apeks Thermiq 8/7 semidry suit is made of superstretch limestone-based neoprene. The chest and back of the suit are 8 mm thick for extra warmth, while the arms and legs are slightly thinner at 7 mm to allow for greater flexibility. This flexibility is increased by the superstretch material. In combination with the front zipper, this makes it easy to put on the suit.

The suit has an integrated hood with an air drain. There are holes on top for ventilation. Because the hood is attached to the suit, less water flows into the suit. The hood has a neoprene face seal which provides a good seal and prevents water from flowing in.

All seams of the semidry suit are bound with a neoprene layer to make them waterproof. Extra reinforcements are also applied to the knees to prevent damage to this vulnerable area of the suit.

Excellent heat regulation

For extra warmth and comfort, the inside of the suit is equipped with quick-drying fleece. Apeks has also attached a 2mm neoprene thermal vest behind the chest zip, which allows the water that enters through the zip to warm up before it comes into contact with your skin. Seals have been added to the sleeves and legs to prevent water from flowing through, which keeps the water inside the suit at body temperature.

Sustainable materials

The Apeks Thermiq 8/7 suit is made from sustainable materials. Instead of using neoprene made from new petroleum, Apeks has chosen neoprene made from limestone and recycled car tires. The fleece on the inside is made from recycled plastic bottles.

Extras

The suits come with a few nice extras. There are two pockets on the legs with bungee loops for your most important accessories. The pocket flaps have an extra zipper pocket and are reinforced with tubing, making them easy to open. The pockets provide space for a spare mask, wet notes, reels, or a buoy.

Another handy accessory is the changing mat that comes with the suit. Use it to protect your feet and gear while changing. The mat can be transformed into a storage bag for your Thermiq 8/7 semi-dry suit.
