Der Transmitter ist wirklich ein zuverlässiger und sehr hilfreicher Begleiter bei den Tauchgänge. Mit einem Blick auf den Tauchcomputer hast du alles unter Kontrolle, auch die verbleibende Zeit bei dem gerade anstehenden Verbrauch. Wirklich sehr hilfreich. Ich möchte es nicht mehr missen.

Swift Transmitter is a great product and it take a lot of stress from your shoulders while doing side-mount or tech dives (when having more than one cylinder)

I bought this transmitter together with the Perdix 2. Setting the computer up and adding this transmitter was quick but it did require a bit of back and forth. First you need to enable AI mode on the dive computer and then you can setup the transmitter which just means adding it’s serial number to the dive computer. The transmitting starts automatically. I compared the air levels that were shown on the perdix 2 with my mechanical pressure gauge and they matched perfectly.

Super Transmitter, zuverlässig- bis jetzt kein Verbindungsabbruch. Sehr leicht einzurichten. Dank des neuen Designs ist auch nicht mehr mit einem Ventilrad zu verwechseln.

Regarding the Shearwater Swift Transmitter it’s definitely well build. I personally like how Shearwater wrote their manual giving you the part number of the o-rings used in their transmitter and their properties like hardness and material, so every user can source them locally. Moreover Shearwater made great video showing how to replace the battery step by step. Another thing I like is that Shearwater are honest that their electronic devices can and will fail eventually and they recommend you to have alternate source of information like analogue SPG in this case. Philosophy that I like.
The transmitter comes in very nice small case with shearwater branded carabiner.

I would say there are several major benefits this transmitter has:
1. The transmission protocol is reliable, with collision avoidance algorithm;
2. There is green indicator on top of the transmitter showing if it’s transmitting or not;
3. The battery is user replaceable.

However there are things that can be improved:

1. The transmission range is quite limited - with transmitter on the right side of the body and computer on the left hand, with hand down close to the body the computer looses connection. Once the hand is extended, the connection is restored. Condition that is expected as higher transmission power will consume more battery, but I consider it as an area for improvement.
2. The process of battery replacement requires a special hex screwdriver. If you forget it somewhere you can’t replace the battery.

Overall I’m satisfied with this purchase.
